Nobody I talk to can remember the game Basewars for NES. It was set in the future and the teams were made up of these sweet robots. Whenever there was a tie at a base, the robots went into combat mode and would shoot or punch the crap out of each other. The winning robot either got the out or was safe. The pitcher had a cannon for an arm and would shoot the ball at a higher velocity depending on how long you held "A". It was soooo hard to defeat the computer, so we usually had tournaments in my besement to see who was the Basewars master.

I remember a robot battle baseball game for the NES. Although I'm not sure if it's the one your talking about.

The main thing I remember is that it was very customizable. You could name your teams, choose your robots and customize their weapons. It seems like the only colors avalible were red and blue.

      Is this the same game?

Yes! I remember renting that game in the early 90s before the NES had completely died out. I played it for hours, it was great fun. And yes, I do remember that the computer was nearly impossible to beat. It was always perfect in everything it did. That's another great 2 player game I had almost forgotten about. I'll have to play it a bit this weekend on the emulator. Maybe there are some cheats to dumb the computer opponent down a bit!

I remember it. I downloaded the ROM for NES emulator and still play it. Nintendo game cartridges are to much of a hassel to get working. I blew dust into my eyes to many times.
