Nah what it is, is that my Grandma came across a Double Headed Quarter, one side dated 1982 the other dated 1993, i wanted to see if anybody knew if this is a real coin or if maybe sum1 gave her a fake coin? If its real, could i be worth sum money?
There are error coins out there, i collect coins, but dont have any error ones. Depending on how bad the error is, it can be worth a lot.
But this seems very weird to me, b/c what would a 1993 quarter "mold" be doing around in 1982, or vise-versa. If it was a 1992 w/a 93, or a 1983 w/ a 82, it would make a little more sense to me. Do both sides look professionally struck? Does it have the copper coated ridges around the rim? All real quarters since 1965 do.
Another thing, most coins have the creators initials on them, unusually below the head. IDK if they still did these on the 82 and 93. A counter fitter wouldn't be able to duplicate this. These initials usually are hard to see with the naked eye, and get worn off too.
