For a short time, I got into a hobby of collecting vintage cassette tapes, specially 80s albums. I would collect them at flea markets and thrift stores.

    Madonna-Madonna (1983)

    Lionel Richie-Can't Slow Down (1983)

    Whitney Houston-Whitney Houston (1985)

    George Michael-Faith (1987)

    Bobby Brown-Don't Be Cruel (1988)

    New Edition-Heart Break (1988)

    Madonna-Like A Virgin (1984)

    Beverly Hills Cop Soundtrack (1984)

    Whitney Houston-Whitney (1987)

I used to have a big tape collection, but now I've just pared it down to the essentials. Here's what I've got:

Grace Slick - Dreams (Member of Jefferson Airplane and Starship, her solo albums have never been released on cd in North America)

Ren and Stimpy - You Eeeeediot!

George Carlin - Parental Advisory, Explicit Lyrics (imo, his last really great standup performance)

Yes - Big Generator (from 1987)

The Sex Pistols - The Mini EP (early versions of songs from before their official album)

Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper - Roothog or Die (novelty album, includes "Debbie Gibson is Pregnant with my Two-headed Lovechild";)

Rick Wakeman and Roger Daltrey - Listzomania OST (original 1975 tape)

Kate Bush - Rubberband Girl cassingle

Frank Zappa and Pierre Boulez - The Perfect Stranger (classical and electronic works from 1984, there was a whole bunch of these in a cut out bin of tapes at Sam the Record Man last year, it was only a dollar and as a Zappa fan I couldn't say no)

Robby Kriegger (Guitarist for the Doors) - No Habla

Jon Anderson (lead singer for Yes) - Animation (original tape from 1982)

        Vangelis - Charriots of Fire
        Vangelis - China

Monty Python - The Final Ripoff (2 tape best of from 1987 with a few new cuts)

        AC/DC - High Voltage

Iggy Pop and the Stooges - Raw Power (this doesn't show up on tape often, had to have it)

        Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Jimi Hendrix - The Essential Jimi Hendrix vol. 2

John Lennon - Live in NYC (now out of print)
John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band

Pete Townshend - Empty Glass (original 1980 tape in near mint condition)

Nirvana - Unplugged in New York

        Marvin Gaye - Greatest Hits

The Animals - The Very Best of the Animals

        Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

Zabriskie Point OST (doesn't often show up on tape and has rare Pink Floyd songs)

The Doors - In Concert (2 tape set)

The Who - Two's Missing (out of print, cd was only breifly in print, I saw it at HMV in the early 90's and was one dollar short to buy it, I should have pestered my parents more, now the first volume of Who rarities, Who's Missing is in print but this second isn't and the breifly in print cd edition is going for a fortune on ebay)

        Peter Gabriel - Birdy OST

I have a bunch of tapes that I still listen to; Minor Threat, The Exploited, the Cramps, Skinny Puppy, etc. plus a bunch of demos from underground hardcore bands.
