    Hi.

I found this site yesterday, and it is just great, so i had to register.

One thing i want to add here is that i am from the south of Denmark, close to the German border. A lot of people (like me) understand German, and you can watch German television, including movies and tv-series.

Foreign films (American, French, etc) in Denmark, are subtitled here in Denmark, so you get the original voices with danish subtitles. That works really well. However in Germany, everything is synchronized with voices from german actors.

This adds another layer to 80ยด movies and tv-series. For example, the voice of "Magnum" is the same voice as the grown-up voice in "The Wonder Years". This happens all the time, and leads to hilarious moments. Another example: The german voice of Ernie from "Sesame Street" is the same voice as Love Machine in Peckinpahs "Convoy".

Of course i like to watch movies in their original languages, but sometimes its just great to see a synchronized movie, especially because they also translate swearing and slang into German.

    Really funny :-) :D
