    		 alright since some of my artwork that i sent on the artwork thread got ignored a little, i decided to make a thread of my art. so here's the first. it's based on a story i'm writing also. a girl named katie discovers the mysterious dissapearance of her parents while finding clues in a dreary castle.

      		 pretty good, but the picture of the girl confused me, does she have some sort of gargoyle on her back, or is that part of her or what?

        		 it's a little demon really. it was once a guardian of the castle, but was awoken by katie and now it thinks she's the owner and master of the castle, so now it's a servant and an ally to her. he carries a giant scythe around, but i thought it would be too much for the forums

            		 here's another. and i thought i'd actually have the demon with the scythe this time around. i just hope it's still appropriate

              		 No offense but it looks like you copied the characters from some kind of how to draw book.

                		 basically that's what alot of people in my art classes said. the art design i use for katie is really a new thing. it combines both american and anime character design to make it look unique. for example, katie's given anime eyes, and a cartoon mouth, whilst her mouth moves just like anime characters mouths do, and her feet and hands have that big size to them as some cartoon characters do

                  		 ha i'd use those how to draw books sometimes and the picture still never came out nice. This character actually reminds me of the little girl in that newer cartoon with the grim reaper and the lil boy and girl i forget her name of the cartoon though.

                      		 actually, heh, i haven't been in any art classes in years, but i did alot of painting and perspective design in my classes. it was rare to do sketchwork there too, but mainly i would draw pictures in the middle of class. all of my art classes around the years have been the same, really

                                		 i'll start making colored ones eventually, but i've gotta hunt for some of my coloring tools first. i'm writing a novel, so every once in a while you'll see a sketch on one page helping tell the story, tho it won't be in color. here's an avatar i made about a year ago
