So um, yeah, I had a freaky dream last night. Bottom line, I dreamt that I was Santa Clause. Except instead of being all holly jolly, I was actually some sort of magical fey creature. Had a range of differant powers, and the way I sustained myself was by absorbing the energy from strong emotion. So, I essentially kept up the whole gift-giving thing so that children all over the world would love me, and I could then feed off of them. Couple of older teenagers that didn't, well, lets say they didn't stay around for very long when Santa has telekinetic powers and a bad attitude about anyone he can't feed off of.
Man was that ever a freaky dream. Not as bad as the one before that where I was some kind of weird harry potter-ish wizard that called up the undead to do my bidding by biting down and breaking my own teeth to use the pieces as some kind of spell component item. Man, that morning I woke up and spent the next 10 minutes getting re-aquainted with the fact that I still had a mouth full of teeth, and not the few splintered remains I had by the end of that dream.
You know, I would say I need to stop eating whatever the hell I'm eating before bed to get dreams like this lately, but thats just it, I'm not eating anything at all before bed. Wierd.
Well, it freaked me out a bit to have two wierd dreams in two nights like that, and if I'm freaked out, I want you to be freaked out too
Dude! It sounds like you could sell your dreams to Tim Burton and make some serious cash! I am always very jealous of people who talk about their dreams because I hardly ever remember mine.
I'm the same way I never remember the dreams I have except for the few times where I get ones where I dream that I've gone to school and finished a test, ate lunch, and start heading to my last class then I suddenly wake up.
I hate those dreams, they usually mean I'm gonna have a bad day or have annoying dejavu most of the day.
Edymnion, do you read a lot of fantasy? I remember reading an article that said studies show that people who read a lot of fantasy and science fiction are more likely to have vivid dreams and nightmares and are more likely to remember them.
I know it's true for me. I do read a lot of fantasy, and I've dreamed some real doozies.
