    		 I've been looking for this one B horror movie from the early 80's. It was one of those typical "Don't go into the....." things where a group of teenagers hang out in a house or hotel run by an older couple.

    Teens croak off one by one, and by the time it's down to the last survivor (female, of course), she finds her way into the basement to find a HUGE retarded person, covered in filth, only able to communicate in grunts and yowls, and wearing only a dingy pair of underwear.

    Parents come down, give the usual "So, you've discovered our horrible secret. Now you'll never leave this place alive." speech, and for some reason, Mom & Dad get into a fight and Dad kills Mom. This drives the megatard into a frenzy and he kills Dad, but not before he manages to wack Junior upside the head with a board (which had a nail that sinks deep into the tard's skull). Heroine crawls out from the basement, fade to black and roll credits.

    Besides the fact that this movie was so balls-out to have an actual retarded person playing the role of a cellar-dweller monster (which caused such an uproar from the PC dinks that HBO quikly pulled it off the air and it hasn't been seen anywhere since), it's stuck in my mind and would like to at least find out the title, let alone locate a copy on video.

      		 This souds vaguely similar to "People Under the Stairs." There were quite a few what-I-guess-you-could-call-retards (people trapped under the house of maniacal parents and long-removed from society) and they killed potential suitors of the daughter, if memory serves. But there were two survivors/main characters in that movie: the girl (of course) and a young black boy called Fool.

        Close, but this was a movie from the early 80's (at best. Possibly might have even been a late 70's movie that tried to cash in on the spaltter gennre when the first Friday the 13th came out), and it had a real retarded person in the "monster" role. Sort of a cross between Corky and Junior from the WB 3 bears cartoons.
