I was just watching an old episode of SuperFriends, the one where Mr. Mxyzptlk starts screwing with the heroes and calling them the 'Super Fools'. This got me to thinking of the classic cartoon villains and how they would twist the names of the heroes into something insulting.

I've been able to remember a couple:

    - Rita Repulsa calling the Power Rangers the 'Power Punks'
    - Dr Blight and others calling the Planeteers the 'Planet Punks'

Can anyone remember any more? I thought of the TMNT being called 'freaks' by just about every villain on the show, except that it's not really a twisting of their name, just a general insult.

haha i think "punk" was the universal bad word that didnt offend anyone back in the day, i would put money on it being used in almost every kids show where there was a villian..

Didn't Dr. Wily or somebody else call Captain N as "Captain Nitwit"?

I remember Rita Repulsa calling the Power Rangers "goody two-shoes". Which isn't really a pun on their name, but it calls to attention the intelligence of someone who thinks someone else would be offended by telling them they can afford to keep thier feet dry. :D

I remember calling the Power Rangers "lame"....I guess I could be considered a mild super-villain.
