There is alot of diffrent software and methods to do this and I have tried dozens of them. To get the best quality this guide will tell you how to use all free software to do it http://www.videohelp.com/sefy/?id=ClassicalGuide.html (it looks a little scarry at first) I have tried alot of expensive software and spent alot of time trying to get good results but this is the best way I can figure out how to do it. All of the other software gave me results I was not happy with.
You can figure out the VOB file that has the tinro that you want, use the method in the link to conver it to SVCD, and then use windows movie maker to create a WMV file that only has the intro.
It is alot of steps but it is free and worth it.
And now for something completely different................
