Is there anyone here besides me who likes to shop at thrift stores and find cool collectibles?

I used to collect stuff from Thrift Stores, but I don't really do that much anymore. Some items I remember buying are; an old basic calculator from the 70s with a 9V Battery Compartment, New Edition's Self Titled Second Album on Cassette, and a stack of envelopes and cards.

There used to be two thrift stores a few towns over from where I live, Good Will and St. Vincent De Paul, but the latter went out of business because it couldn't handle the competition of other thrift stores.

I do like to hunt, but I seldom find anything. I think people sell all the cool stuff on eBay now, which isn't nearly as fun. :(

            Love the thrift stores.

99.9% of all the stuff I own is from thrift stores. No, It doesnt look like an 70s love shack, we find lots of donations from Target and other department stores like furniture and dishes.

But I still like to l collect from these stores. I can still find bundles of Atari games and vintage electronics from the 70s and 80s, even a G1 Transformer once and awhile.

It's nowhere near like it was in the 90s when the thrift stores in my town just put out the dusty boxes and let yo go wild. Now they are trying to appeal to the soccer mom by putting in coffee bars and flat panel TV displays for the kids. And of course to pay for this unnecessary fluff, they jack up the prices. The place is just too clean and organized.

Counting down the days until garage sales start up. That's where the real bargains are.

I dunno...I've had terrible, horrible luck with garage sales around here. >_

Don't even get me started on thrift stores. I found so many things there, comic books, T-Shirts, action figures etc.
