What I'd like to find out is if anybody remembers them and what the names of them were? To be more specific, I think they were part of a segment from the old Disney Channel called "Music Break." They would usually air sometime during the morning and early afternoon. Here are some of the ones that I remember:
-One music video was about a dinosuar living in a neighborhood or something like that.
-Another one was about a kid who was afraid to get a haircut. I think it was called "What You Need Is A Haircut."
-Another one had a black guy singing (his words were jumbled as he sang) and the camera would focus on kids growing up I think.
Those are the only ones I can remember. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone else remembers them, and if they're on the internet somewhere cause I'd like to see them again.
The Man Who Ran Away With The Moon - Foote/Buckingham/Greenwood This song is also a music video and is seen on the Disney and Family Channel throughout North America.
Where oh where oh where has the moon gone Where oh where oh where has the moon gone
I'm going to tell you a tale about a man who ran away with moon He took it home, He put it in his living room He put the moon way up on a shelf He tried to keep it all for himself
No one knew about the man who ran away with the moon I guess he figured he could see it in the afternoon But now the night is blacker than black Darker than dark we gotta get the moon back
But one simple thing this man forgot The moon had it's very own things it did attract and one night when the moon was bright it must have been a full moon that night
Because he looked out the windows and the dogs were barking In his driveway strange cars were parking The taps turned on all by himself The moon was grinning from up on his shelf The cats were meowing and the owls were hooting The whole neighborhood was uprooting He when out on his porch, he saw a cow on his roof He looked to the side, he thought he saw a werewolf
Everybody walking around thinking what was it's fate? And all the scientists in the world they did speculate The man thought it was a rare antique He used it like a lamp so to speak
Now this man he was really afraid He went back in his house and he quickly pulled down the shade He went and took the moon to the tallest hill He threw it back in the sky with all his will and the moon his behind a cloud and slid into tommorow
Sorry, I think I deleted all the extra posts now. Sorry about that, I got excited. Anyway, I think one of the ones you are talking about is a bobby mcfarrin one. I'm still looking for more, if I find them, I will add them to this post.
I used to love the Disney Channel "Music Breaks". Thanks for post these. I haven't seen those in years. Bobby McFerrin's "Baby" was the one that I do remember back when I was in Pennsylvania at John Ryan's house during the summer of 1992 or 1993.
No, it wasn't DTV. The music videos were live action music videos and I believe they were part of a segment called 'Music Break'.
I don't remember "Music Break". But I do remember DTV. There was also DTV2 in the 90's. And I do remember The Monkees singing "Daydream Believer". Here is the video: DTV - The Monkees - Daydream Believer
Marsupilami: "No, Maurice! Those flowers were for your lady, Not your lunch! Now, What are you going to giver her?"
