You're talking about the bleepy UFO-ish PBS logo with the bright colors, right? We have it on RJ in the 70's commercial section! Too lazy to give you the link, though.

Things I remember? Hmmm. I remember songs they did that used video footage of people/animals in the "real world."

Like a song showing rhinos, hippos, and giraffes all with birds on their heads.

      "There's a bird on me.
      Oh can't you see?
      There's a bird on me..."

I also remember a song where it showed a bunch of people (kids and adults) and animals sleeping in various ways.

      "Everybody sleeps, everybody sleeps
Each night when we close our eyes,
      Till the morning creeps..."

I also remember Mr. Hooper, who always corrected Big Bird's "Mr. Looper."

I also remember when Mr. Snuffleupagus lived alone, and nobody knew he was real except Big Bird. Everyone thought Big Bird was making him up.

I didn't get to read the whole thread, but did anyone mention the "ME and my Llama" song?
                Did I just imagine that?

I remember that song, they played it a lot in the early 80's when i watched. My favorite segment was Spiderman, because I wanted to be a superhero when I grew up.

does anyone remember this skit? it was muppets. it took place in a sloon in the old west. and all of a sudden this "mean" cowboy walks in and starts askin everyone for a crayon(i think he even asked for black). and after scaring everyone else, he asked the last guy, who reluctantly gave it to him. and all the guy did was show him how to draw a why. that was one of my alltime favorite sketches.

These are a few of the skits I remember. I wonder if anyone else has seen them or know of them.

                          1. A piece of hot steel goes through several machines and comes out as a letter I. The entire time, there is nervous and/or scary music playing in the background (live)

                          2. Snuffy on a trampoline

                          3. Live action skit that featured a girl wearing glasses and an older relative (probably her dad) doing exercises on what, I think, are black gymnastics mats. In the background, something like classical music on a piano is being played.

                          4. Kermit The Frog and a girl are singing the alphabet. Occassionally, the girl says Cookie Monster and giggles instead of saying the appropriate letter.

If anyone remembers these skits or know where I can find them, reply.

I remember that it was OK.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

                                    I also remember:

                                    - The "Stop Dancing" skit, which showed kids at a dance studio dancing to music, and every time the music stopped, they stopped. They continued dancing when the music started back up again.

                                    - A Charlie Chaplin-esque man trying to put socks in the right drawer, with Gordon saying "Put the socks in the top drawer."

                                    - The piece of iron at a steel mill being forged into a letter I, with loud, scary music in the background.

                                    - The song "I've Got a New Way to Walk" sung by the Oinker Sisters.

                                    - The song "Down Below the Street" sung by an unknown R&B group.

                                    - The song "Felines," a parody of the song "Feelings," which showed animated cats of different colors and emotions.

                                    - The song "Happiness," which showed people having fun at the beach.

                                    - The song that went "Splish, splash, giggle, gurgle, gargle," or something like that, that showed kids playing at a park and drinking from the drinking fountains. One of my all time favorite sketches.

                                    - A clip that showed people building a house at very high speed while being played to speedy guitar music.

                                    Anyone else remember these?

Does anyone else remember the skit where there's a group of children who put their design ideas together for a play gym at a park. Then the play gym gets built out of timber and it looks really fun.....
