    I loved the pinball animation.

I get fond memories of that segment everytime I see the Family Guy episode it was used in. :D

I used to watch Sesame Street a lot when I was little as well. I am surprised no one mentioned Guy Smiley and the parody game shows they did. I also remember the adults on there Gordon and Susan were they married? I think in the 80's they had a son named Miles, if I am not mistaken. Of course I loved Ernie and Bert, and my favorite skit with them was when Ernie was getting Bert dresed up to go out in the snow and Ernie said "And now you are ready to hav e afun day on the Beach!" Bert was earing a scarf, ear muffs, a tobogan, and even had a sled. I loved it when Bert looked so pissed off at the end like he could just kick Ernie's butt if he really wanted to. Did anyone ever have the Sesame Street 8 track tape of Christmas stuff? My favorite track was the Christmas pageant. It's hilarious!

The guy that played Gordon also played a pimp in a movie called "Willie Dynamite" before he was in Sesame Street. When I saw it for the first time it blew my mind! Was Miss Piggy a regular character? I don't think so but I love her!!

Anyway here's a song that was taken off the 2nd SS LP simply called Sesame Street 2.

from that release a very well recorded song sung by Susan called Someday Little Children.

I remember so much. There was Sherlock Hemlock, Roosevelt Franklin, Prairie Dawn, Super Grover, Guy Smiley, the twiddle bugs, Amazing Mumford... Ok, what was the name of the piano guy that always got frustrated because he couldn't remember the rhymes? Another I remember was this big robot who went up and down Sesame Street. It had a huge box shaped body and the head or mouth looked like a pair of cymbals with ping pong ball eyes at the top. Also what's the name of the blue guy who made the sound effects whenever he talked?

They never changed Cookie Monster to Veggie Monster, nor did Sesame Workshop ever had any intention of changing Cookie Monster. That was a rumor that started ever since 2005 when they showed A Cookie is a Sometimes Food which people believed that Cookie Monster sung that song. In actuality, it was Hoots the Owl that sang that song to Cookie Monster and then at the end he says "Sometimes is now" and gobbles up the whole plate of cookies. The people at Sesame Workshop has already conformed that Veggie Monster rumor is false, they're still going to keep him as Cookie Monster. Not only that, but they actually did a segment on the show in response to the whole Veggie Monster rumor. I also liked the segments with Cucille the shapeshifting orange blob.

It's true that Cookie Monster has expanded his eating habits in which he would eat fruits and vegetables, and well... just about anything. However, Cookie Monster eating fruits and vegetables is also nothing new. That type of thing goes back to the to the 70s during an interview with Jim Henson. He states that he used Cookie Monster in a commercial to promote healthy foods. Or, in Sesame Street, he did a rap song in 1986 called "Healthy Foods" which is where Cookie Monster is going all over fruits and vegetables. Sesame Workshop is not changing Cookie Monster, he's still mostly the same now as he was back then.

Having said that, there's a lot of Sesame Street segments that I enjoy watching as a kid and that I can still watch as an adult. One example is when Bert and Ernie were going down a pyramid and they find 2 statues that look just like them. I also liked the segments that feature Cecile the orange shapeshifting blob. One Sesame Street segment that I remember as I kid that I've been trying to find was when a man was singing a song about "between". Does anyone remember that? There's a lot that I can remember as a kid.

I went on You Tube and saw something I had completely forgotten about. There was a song called "We All Sing With The Same Voice"....I remembered every word as soon as it started. Weird how memories come right back!

I still remember Grover being a clumsy waiter bothering the same customer, and their Wheel of Fortune parody I believe called Squeal of Fortune. A pig was in the middle of the wheel and I guess he was making the wheel spin.

The only things I liked about Classic Sesame Street are the animated Alphabet sketches, the video on how crayons were made, how Big Bird tried to make the whole Alphabet a word, the Rubber Duckie made famous by Ernie, Mr. Hooper when he was the original owner of Hooper's Store, the original Cast, the Pinball Number Count, Kermit the Frog doing the News Flashes. I could go on but that's all I remember for now.
