Everybody sleeps/eats. They're very similar and you can find almost all the Sesame Street sketches on YouTube.

Also, dosen't it seem wrong that the Sesame Street that we grew up on isn't suitable for preschoolers today?

It's gonna be suitable for my preschoolers! Really, what does Sesame Street have in 2008 that kids need, versus what it had in 1978 that all us kids now were apparently so deprived of? I mean I don't care if my kids can say hello, how's it going in 6 different languages. :x

I don't remember 1969 - 1980s Sesame Street, but I watched it right until "Elmo's World" came on. Does 1997 and before count as "old"? :?

The main thing i remember about old school sesame street was the fact that elmo was hardly ever on. He was just some background puppet now hes a powerhouse.

I remember the episode where the pink monster Telly broke his arm, kind of a neat thing to watch because just shortly before I saw the episode with my younger sister and grandma I broke my arm, but his was in a cast mine was in a sling. I also liked one song the heart of a frog, it used to be on youtube but it got removed.

Yes there was a thread on this. And you can buy some of the old episodes on the Sesame St Old School Vol 1 & 2 DVD's. I got mine at Target but I saw them both on ebay.
