    What's so hip about square-dancing?

              I remember:
That music video they'd play with the flying lady who had a crocodile face.

The masterpeice theater thing cookie monster did, one story he told had Grover climing a flight of stairs and at the top was a brick wall so he had to slide back down on the railing.

              The saxaphone playing owl.

              And Telly :)

A lot of people on You Tube are saying that this one was freaky. I got in and said that it wasn't really that freaky.

I remember Buffy (I think) the Hawaiian friend, and when the show went to Hawaii (this was befor Snuffy was outed) and he and Big Bird found the Snuffleupagus mountain?

I also remember Ernie's (tiddlywinks--or something) these little insect like creatures that lived in his window box--I had a sesame street book that actually had all kinds of activities in it and one was making a tiddlywink village out of cereal boxes and oatmeal containers--I spent a whole Saturday making it one time and played with it till teh boxes came apart.

Anyone else know the book I'm talking about--it had the "secret agent guy" on lots of pages talking into his coat and a lot of it was done in 3 color (black white and red; or black white and blue, etc . . .)

I also used to try and call Kermit when he would do his news flash and ask for c lues. :)

I totally remember Ernie's insomnia, that also spooked me. I remember when Cookie monster had a nightmare about Cookies tormenting him. I loved the little tune they were chanting...I don't remember anything except "yum yum yum". Think it was already mentioned but ya remember "A loafa bread, a contanah of milk, and a sticka buttah". So sad it's become the "Elmo Fruitcake Hour."

The loaf of bread comment, I was reading this article and the whole time it was playing in my head. I don't know if anyone is a wrestling fan, but before Jericho left, he was in the ring talking to someone on the titantron or at the top of the ramp and he said that phrase. thanks

I want to get those Sesame Street: Old School DVD sets.

Everybody sleeps/eats. They're very similar and you can find almost all the Sesame Street sketches on YouTube.

Also, dosen't it seem wrong that the Sesame Street that we grew up on isn't suitable for preschoolers today?

The Teeny Little Superguy was great. Also, the cool pinball clip. The bugs that lived in the milk carton, the aliens, and best of all....no Elmo !

I had a crush on Buffy St. Marie when I was a kid. She was a cast member for a short while. I remember her singing a song about the letter "e"...

"...e is the letter that begins lovely words like 'everything...'"
