I also remember the segment where it was a whole lot of footage about babies and they played that song about been such a beautiful baby. Also those creatures that lived in ernies flower box and the Mr Smiley character who would do game shows. Also that baby character that had a pink face and was in a highchair all the time.

I remember that Bert and Ernie bedroom skit-- where Ernie would always keep Bert awake by asking him stupid questions!! Some people rumored that there was some sort of gay innuendo going on there, but I never picked up on it... Or that 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 doo-doo-doo-doo-doo- with the ball going through that mini golf course thing--- Or those skits with Grover and that guy in the restaurant and would always get the guys order wrong-- I really liked the old school sesame street!! One episode I barely remember was when James Taylor guest starred and sang "Jelly Man Kelly".. I think Rick Moranis (from honey, i shrunk the kids), guest stared on an epsode also It would be great if the old school sesame street came out on DVD--- The new sesame street I just dont find as good...!!!

I also liked the Potato Alligator. Does anybody else remember the wedding? And Linda the deaf lady? I also liked these little segments where there would be elephants washing themselves and different songs would play.

Strandysmommy 9 years 2 months ago Posts: 617	Don't lets forget Barkley. I remember the letters getting formed out of metal too...I remember the music. I remember this guy in a kayak, paddling around to this very 1969-early 70's music. He tipped over several times and I worried that he'd get water in his nose. I remember the song "We all sing with the same sound the same voice: my name is Jack and Fred, my name's Amanda Sue, I'm called Kareem Abdul...my name is you..." Also I recall this segment where they were showing a guy making a rocking horse, and one where they build a log cabin. I remember Fonzie with a pinball machine too. Yep, life was good without Elmo. Oh and "Me lost me cookie at the disco". "Danger, it's no stranger" and "Join Us". (You can play guitar- JOIN US, you can play the drums- JOIN US- you can do what you like JOIN US!) There's a book out there called "Sesame Street Un-Paved." It's awesome.

Lottech96 9 years 2 months ago Posts: 1250	here's some stuff I remember from sesame street THE MAD PAINTER STRIKES AGAIN! the one with all the people have a bunch of stuff and they count them out and allways ended with the chef having alot of items or large items (12 CHOCLATE CAKES!) and then fall of the stairs. and ofcourse number pinball (Flipnic comes out so relive your numberpinball dreams). the one with the trench coat guys 123456789............................................shifts eyes.........10 . WILL YOU EAT IT? a game show where the one dude dosn't eat a thing! STUPID! lol ok ok also the one where kermit tries to get to the 7th floor and the Count who's the car operator allways counts to 10 but never stops at Kermit's floor so Kermit had to literly hop to the 7th floor . and the one where Kermit tries to Buy a "Kermit the Frog" sweater but the sweater makers come up with Blog and Ogg and Krog but the kermit the frog where to be released to next tuesday. and there was Ntv a parady of Mtv. and ofcourse the End sequence with Barkley whre the kids hide bhind the tree. now that was good stuff now random question. What is up with the numbers that Super grover holds?

System 9 years 2 months ago Posts: 74809	The one everyon'es talking about with the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12....well, I found that a little while back on a file sharing program. I highly suggest anyone who has one to search 'sesame street' and grab it up. I unfortunately lost it along when I moved to college.

There was another number thing that was from the early 70's or 1969 that was "sung" somewhat by Grace Slick. The end goes: one two three four five six seven eight niiiiinnnneee ten. I love how trippy some of the early sesame was, very psychedelic. I also remember when Kermit was trying to get a Kermit the Frog Tee Shirt. But there was Kermit the FORG, Kermit the GORF...etc. Does anyone remember a sequnce in which they're showing a baby chick hatching?

He would be in his playhouse and get a call to solve a mystery. He would then go jump in his chair and spin around. When he stopped spinning, he would have on a detective outfit. He was like Sherlock Holmes and his sister was like Watson. Does anyone remember this?

Strandysmommy 9 years 2 months ago Posts: 617	Ok here's a weird question; do you remember the little thing that came on at the very end of the show? After the credits and all that...it was a bunch of stuff, like additional credits and they played this weird jazzy music, saxaphone and horns. I know the melody but I don't think I could put it into words...it became a childish compulsion almost for me to see it at the end...it wouldn't do to turn it on the news until the WHOLE FREEKIN THING was done.
