I think I mentioned that one back a few posts ago, I think it was the work of Mister Philip Glass- I recall there's a dark blue background with these colored circles and these black lines start connecting them until there is this web and the circles start spinning. There's another one on a white background and different circles overlap with each other to make a stained glass window like thing. I always loved those- they gave me chills with the choir singing...I dunno, I was a weird little kid.

I haven't read the entire post but anyone remember the segment of Near/Far? The puppet would run up to the screen and say "Near" and then run to the back of the room and say "Far". That's just about the only memory I have from the old episodes.

I remember the in-between segments mostly, too. Like when they had letters being forged out of solid metal in a factory. Giant glowing H's and I's. That was a hardcore way to learn the alphabet

Were the "tweedlebugs" the little bugs that lived in Bert and Ernie's windowbox? The family lived in a milk carton and Ernie would go over the windowsill and stare at the milkbox and the camera would zoom in...
