I know that one, it's actually Gracie Slick of Jefferson Airplane fame singing it. One two three four five six seven eight NINEEEE TENNN. And there's like a race going on, and George Washington's head is in the stands. Very 70's trippy.

I remember "40 blocks to school", which showed characters like The Count getting to school by taking 40 blocks there, while meeting various things along the way.

There's also one thing that I didn't mentiont to you guys, I also like when the girls singing a song on something to "brush your teeth". In my opinion, this was in reference to Cyndi Lauper's "Girls just wanna have fun". Anyone remember this and if so, does anyone have a video clip or an audio recording?

Also, I really like the "Dancing Feet" segment. It's quite interesting.

~ I remember the girl who takes her llama to the dentist

~ the "I'm a dog, I'm a workin' dog, I'm a hard workin' dog" song where it shows a dog hearding sheep in a fence.

~ muppets singing : "Cooperation, makes it happen...."

~ The cartoon about the alligator king who had like 10 sons or something and they all had to try to impress the king (their father) and each buys him big gifts, but the youngest just says "I love you" and he wins

            ~ The Ladybug Picnic

~ kids making the shapes of latters on the ground

~ I always thought Telly was a crybaby and could hardly stand to watch him.

~ the song..."I love to sing, sing in the shower, ah haaaa, when the water falls, I let my voice ring out loud and clear..." and then big bird sang it and said bird bath instead of shower, and Oscar said like, mud bath or somehing.

Oh gosh I miss that show so much!

              Oh the bells,
              listen to the bells.
              Ding-a-ling, hear 'em ring,
              everybody listen to the bells.

              That sketch I also remember.

I also remember the scene with a girl and her dad playing a game of fetch with their dog at the beach. I started thinking about the doo-wop music in the background, which is what I remember most about this.

I still remember those fond Sesame Street memories. The ones that I remember were:

                      - The "Wet Paint" song (this was in my brain for years and I don't know how the song goes like "wet paint, wet paint, wet paint, wet paint".....)
                      - A time-lapsed photography on how a house is built from start to finish
                      - The puzzle part (on where you see flying pieces flying over the screen and then i'st rearranged to reveal what that thing is, for example a picture of Ernie and Bert.

There was one clip that I remember (and if anyone can help me what it is) that there was a clip of kids doing the hitting the drum thingy and then in that clip, there's an animated person doing the same thing. This goes on for a few seconds then it goes from slow (starting off from the boy's feet) then it goes fast (and gradually goes up) until we see a white background indicating the end of the clip.

Also, if I remember back then there was a segment on Sesame Street on a demolition part. I saw a wrecking ball hitting a window of a building. Anyone remembers this?

One more question, is there some fansites relating to Sesame Street out there? I'm been searching for one for ages......

I remember that. I think it was a spoof of that tune, but the lyric in particular goes "Kids just want to brush!". They did a few spoofs of popular songs tied to a particular thing or word/letter/number.

Used to like at the very end, the family just heads in there quickly, no questions asked! Kinda want the next shot to be the house falling to the ground, either killing or wounding them in the process! (yes, I'm being sarcastically cynical at this point)

Oh yeah. Usually it starts with the pieces flying in one by one (sans for one picture that leaves a blank square on the screen), and once they were there, the images slide around like one of those toy puzzle sliders I had a hard time figuring out! Once the picture comes together, the last piece is added, and we hear a gang of kids going "IT'S BERT!!!"

Does anyone recall the the animated/live action skit where there was a little boy (cartoon) in a salt shaker (live action) and his uncle in a pepper shaker? They lived in the kitchen and the cupboard would open and they would come out and swivel on the counter.

There was one episode about crossing the street and knives and forks would be the cars driving in traffic. I think the kid almost got hit and he fell and the top to his salt shaker fell off.

There's a few things that I want to mention from you folks:
When I was little, the pinball animation creeped me up a little. At the beginning, we see a background with how many stars we see, accompanied with the number. For example, if there are 12 stars, we see the number 12. The whisper part is the only part that creeped me up a little.

Also, If I remember back then, there was an animation with some colored circles (of some sort) along with some white stars glowing. That kinda scared me a little too. (Clue: there is some singing in the background. It goes like "ca-ca-ca-ca-ca-nay-nay-nay" or something like that) What makes me extremely creepy is the fact is the colored leaves thingy (if anyone can help me out what it is, it's in the black background, accompanied with a white circle and in the sequence we see a series of colored leaves such as blue, green, orange, etc.).

Anyone remembered which part of Sesame Street that makes you scary when you're little? I'm just curious. I would like to share all of you guys stories.

The stop-motion Russian doll animation scared me a bit. The letter I being forged out of steel also creeped me out, mostly because of the music!

I think I mentioned that one back a few posts ago, I think it was the work of Mister Philip Glass- I recall there's a dark blue background with these colored circles and these black lines start connecting them until there is this web and the circles start spinning. There's another one on a white background and different circles overlap with each other to make a stained glass window like thing. I always loved those- they gave me chills with the choir singing...I dunno, I was a weird little kid.

I just saw something tonight that made me remember this one little live action thing. It's a little orange ball that goes through this obsticle course and at the end there's these ice cream sundaes that come out on a convayer belt and this kid does something weird with his hand...he like dials something and gets a sundae. I don't remember but I'll check out the YouTube thing.

Then, they go into how they make crayons from start to finish! I also remember the one where they make apple juice by squeezing apples in some machine. The kids drink the juice. I think there was another skit where they harvest real honey from a bee hive too.
