In Big Bird's Hide and Speak for the NES, I heard that when Elmo floats out of the apartment building on balloons, you can use the Zapper (Light Gun) to shoot at him, if you have it connected in the controller port. Is this really true?

        My favorite moments were:

-The letter U tryin to hold on to Smokey Robinson while he was singin "You (U) really got a hold on me"

-"The Healthy Food Rap" by Cookie Monster. I always killed me when I see him dressed like Run DMC

        -Anything with John John

-The little girl recititing the alphabet with Kermit the Frog and kept sayin "Cookie Monster" in between.

-Guy Smiley always getting stuck in the curtain when coming out

        -Billy Joe Jive

And when I think of more I'll post.

I remember when Madeline Kahn and Grover sang together. Does anybody know the lyrics?

Sing what I sing, sing after me
Be my echo if you can be
            Sing di di di
            (di di di)
            doe doe doe
            (doe doe doe)
            Hi hi hi
            (hi hi hi)
            lo lo lo
            (lo lo lo)
            Pick a peck of peppers
            (pick a peppers)
            fiddle diddle deee

And she went all opera on the fiddle diddle, and Grover was trying to copy her (and getting pissed). I loved that one.

I really like the Crayon Segment. It's quite interesting. It looks like it's been featured on a program on how things are made (sorry if it's off-topic) like for example "How'd they do that?" In the U.S. and we have our own version of "How'd they do that?" - it's called "How It's Made" ("Comment c'est fait" in French) on the Discovery Channel (only in Canada).

I also like in the segment that when people said "Good Night" in different languages as well.

I also even like the Computer segment (being that I'm computer literate) too. Has anyone remember seeing that segment? I don't know where that was filmed. My guess is that it's in Boston, Massachusetts and I don't know what the name of the place is. Anybody can contribute?

Also, did anyone from this board taped Sesame Street on their VCRs? I'm just curious to find out....

That scared me too! Actually, I think it was mostly the music that I didn't like. It sounded like some kind of nightmare or impending doom.

I think that's the only thing on Sesame Street that scared me, other than that weird Scanimate animation with a rubber-band looking thing called "Nothing" counting to 10.

One of my favorite skits was the All-Animal Orchestra with Placido Flamingo and Seiji Ozawa conducting. Any skit involving music or had some kind of catchy song were the ones I favored (Ladybug Picnic, the pinball cartoon, etc.).

There was one skit, or little in between thing with a man in a canoe...or a kayak. I remember seeing that and he'd flip over and go under water which perplexed little me...thinking he'd get water up his nose.

I liked the music on Sesame. Even the weird molten lava letter I skit- I remember a lot of that background music. Anyone remember the Sugar Beet song?

I remember the sketch with the animated scribbles going "Eeh, aargh, eh, exercise!" over and over again. It was kinda weird, but kinda cool.

I vaguely remember a computer segment when there was a child sitting at a computer (it was probably back in the mid 80's). The child inserts the massive computer disk into the computer and there was a turtle shape that appears on the screen and the child is controling this turtle using the keyboard. Can anyone else remember anything simmular???
