I remember this one song that included various clips of water, whether it was from a faucet or the ocean. It was a song, simply called "Don't waste water", and the lyrics were the same words as the title, with a chorus added. ("Doooooon't....waaaaaste.......water" [waterwaterwaterwaterwater!!] "Puuuuuuure.....freeeesh.....water...." [waterwaterwaterwaterwaterwater!!])

      *Shudder*

Does anyone know the lyrics to this song? It's sung during a live-action segment where some construction guys are asking some inner city kids what they would want in a new playground:

Here is the playground, it's easy to tell
But looking from here we can't see very well
Here is the swing set and here is the slide
                    *forgot this line*

                    Chorus:

I'd like to see from high up like an eagle looking down
Let's make official, a map of the whole playground
I'd like to see from high up like a mountain standing tall
Let's make official, a map of it all

Very little. Count... whatever his last name was. That's about it. And maybe a couple Elmo songs (something along the lines of, "We all mess up, nobody's perfect.";)

I have surprisingly few memories of that show...

I loved Sesame Street as a kid. I remember Captain Vegetable, and when Mr. Hooper died, and even when Jim Henson died (but that was back when I was in middle school, I think). I also loved Ernie's Rubber Duckie song, and I remember the Sesame Street Christmas special, where Big Bird is skating with a little girl to Feliz Navidad, and everyone sang songs like "True Blue Miracle" ("And if that isn't a true blue miracle, I don't know what one is!";) And how Cookie Monster ate the christmas tree. Man, when they showed that on TV during the holiday season, I knew Christmas was here. We still have it on tape at my mom's, too.

As I'm reading through this more memories come back...I'm up to the fith page and I am sad I haven't seen four of my favorites:

The music video with all those mechanical things that starts with the clicking clown and has a robot arm playing the piano
Big Bird sings the alphabet...as a whole word...
There was another but now it eludes me and that also makes me sad...

Anyone play those NES games of sesame street?

                            Edit: 3 more I remember
                            "Don't waste water"
The "Up/Down" remote where the guy totaled the bridge and ran
                            And the "Hace Calor" song

Another edit: that siamese twin monster with them always fighting
some episode about a kid who lost a truck or something so everyone was giving him THEIR favorite truck and the trucks reflected their personalities

I remember watching Sesame Street, when I was little. Back in Canada, there was a show called "Sesame Park" (formerly known as "Canadian Sesame Street";), which is basically a Canadian version of Sesame Street, but with slight differences:

                                  - The Characters are Canadian (this is fact it must be complied with Canadian Content regulations)
                                  - It was used to be aired for one hour, until it is cut down to half an hour in the mid-90s and the American segements were removed and replaced with Canadian segments

Sesame Park used to be aired on the Canadian CBC television network, but due to the low ratings, it was cancelled in 2002. It was sad to see this show leaving the airwaves....

If you people want to learn more about Sesame Park, please go to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Sesame_Street

As for the old Sesame Street Series, I really like the Dancing Feet segment and the "Body Dance" segment as well. I also remember when Ernie is singing something about the moon and the most funniest park that made me laugh is when Ernie is signing in the bathtub and all of the other muppets joined along with him - and his rubber ducky!! ^_^
