This is the first time I have posted and if you all can't help me, I think I must losing my mind.

I used to watch a cartoon or segment of another cartoon where there was a man and woman on a spaceship with a big floppy, mop-like dog. The adults remind me of the skipper from Gilligan's island, kinda heavy set and the woman reminds me of an older Gilda Radner. (Just how they looked, not acted.) They were dressed in silver and may have even acted somewhat like robots. It wasn't an animated cartoon, but used real people. I can see that BIG floppy dog so clearly and cannot figure out what show it was.

Any and all help would be appreciated, since no one I have asked remembers it. They all think I'm losing it

I think the 2nd clip on this link is the show your were talking about!:[/url]http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2676739
Narrator: Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality. But... there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit... a Darkside

Well, I have to say that Ruth Buzzi is absolutely the woman I was thinking of, but I would have never thought the guy was Jim Nabors????
I really thought it was someone totally different. The floppy dog isn't the way I remembered either, but I can't disagree that that clip definitely fit the bill.
If anyone else has any other suggested cartoons I would certainly take a peek, but I have to say that is the closest fit to my question.
          Thanks a million Iloveth80sfan911,

P.S. I think I am going to mail this clip to everyone I have asked about this cartoon, just to prove I'm not losing my mind
