Does anyone remember those TV sets in the 80's that had a built in phone? The set had a phone jack that you connected to your wall like a phone. On the remote was a big Phone button that turned off the TV sound. Then you'd use the # buttons on the remote to dial a number, and viola. You could talk through your TV just like a phone, while you watched a TV program on mute

The one my Dad used to have was still in good working order when he called the garbage men to haul it away to the dump

I don't know if they still make TV sets like that anymore, but looking back, it's amazing they existed in the 80's. That was kind of advanced technology for those days

lol, My dad has one of those, he still uses it today, not for talking on the phone, but for watching TV, I always thought it was a weird TV and never really thought of them making more than his, yeah I know kinda stupid. I think dad broke his remote though, because I've never seen it and I'm from 88

Indeed, more things should have phones built in them.

Cool, never heard of one of those, but it sounds like it was ahead of it's time. If they did that now, it would probably go over pretty well.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a fridge w/ a telephone on it cause I have seen a fridge w/ a tv on it @ Best Buy!
