Yeah , what's going on in New Orleans and the other cities that got hit is just heartbreaking. I feel so bad for all those people, how horrible would it be to loose everything. People are dying that don't need to die. Personally I think the goverment should've acted quicker and alot of lives would've been saved. We've got alot of people out here in kansas City wanting to help take some families in. There's a lady here that has 60 apartments that she is willing to put people up in but can't find any agencies that are willing to listen. She was going to pay for a charter to pick them up and red cross or whoever told her it's stupid to send people that far away. It's really frustrating, you never would think that something like this would happen on US soil. There have been more than 50 countries that have offered aid so far in one way or another. Australia has donated 8 million and even Cuba offered to help. It may not be as much as we give but I guess at least these countries are willing to help in some way. One thing that we need to keep in mind is that most of the countries we help are poor countries that really don't have the means to return the favor. Just in case anyone is wondering these are the countries that have donated so far.
