Anyone remember the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie? It was out sometime in the early 90's on tv. It featured the Chipmunks and the Chippettes racing around the world for chipmunk dolls filled with diamonds. It was great and had some good songs too.

Thinking about that movie reminded me of other cartoons that were made into tv movies around that time. Like Garfield's Halloween Adventure (which came out on DVD) and the original Ducktales movie that launched the series. It's too bad that stuff isn't around anymore. My nephews are 3 and 5 and they prefer watching Boomerang to Cartoon Network or the Disney Channel.

Is the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie on DVD? Would I be the only person who'd buy it?? :D

I loved all of those. I did not realize that the Garfield Halloween Special was on DVD. I remember liking the Christmas one a bit more though.

My brother and I loved The Chipmunk Adventure. We had it taped off the TV and watched it again and again, until our mum's loser boyfriend recorded some other crap over it.

I remember a really creepy bit with that little prince/sultan/rajah guy forcing the Chipmunk girls to wear slave girl costumes and adding them to his harem. Nice stuff for a kids' movie.

Yeah, the Chipmunk Adventure! Loved that movie. I put my VHS copy on DVD. I heard it's tied up in legal problems so no telling if it'll ever come out officially... probably plenty of the VHS around, though.

I still have that movie on tape, I just haven't watched it in a long time. I actually a long time time ago saw the one where Alvin, Simon and Theodore met there mother, wow, just wow. And don't forget there Christmas specials, one of the most underrated of all time.

I loved the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie even though I only saw it once on TV. The soundtrack was so good. They have bootleg DVDs of the movie on Ebay for a pretty reasonable price and I've been tempted to buy it but I havent. I just hope whoever owns the Chipmunks stuff could just release it already, like every other cartoon we love yada yada yada everyone knows where I'm goin with this.

"Treasure of the Golden Suns" was the Ducktales movie that kicked off the legendary series. It was a 2 hour long movie that broke down into 5 episodes. And an awesome movie it was.

I loved the Garfield specials. I'm hoping to get the Holiday Specials DVD as well as the rest of the Garfield and Friends DVDs too. Theres just too much to get and not enough money to get it.
                  WHAT?

When I was young I always liked that part when the Chipmunks and Chipettes had their sing/dance off against each other. I think they were in Greece at the time.

Where can I find a copy of the Chipmunks Valentine's Day Special (Captain Chipmunk!), or that Smurf's special where the two elves get married? The elf bride was deaf, and Gargamel hid inside a giant organ that hypnotized the smurfs.

I loved that movie! It was really great, I especially enjoyed the part where the two gangs meet up again, each wearing clothes from the culture they had most problems with and figuring out what was going on. I still have some chipmunks episodes on vhs, but unfortunately with dutch dubs. Well, yeah, I'm a dutchie, but I still hate most dutch dubs. The english voices of the chipmunks are so much cuter.
If anyone can help me get my hands on King Arthur and the Knights of Justice episodes (other than the first five which were released on DVD way back in 2004), please contact me (PM). I really want to see this show again.

I LOVE the Chipmunks Valentine's special, Alvin changing into "the most romantic person in DA WORLD" was awesome. But oh my god, that Smurfs special with the wedding, so messed up. The bride is deaf and Smurfette and the other Smurfs try to plan it and crap, it's like what the hell is going on?

"We're off to see the world" was such a great song. I dled the soundtrack and that song always gets to me. "Boys and girls of rock and roll" is badass.

Yeah I remember this. When it was on tv a few months ago I recorded it on my dvd recorder. (Along with the Heavenly Kid) I'm just hoping my 18th month old nephew will share in my enthusiasm.
