Ok! lets get this straight, just say i had a pair of smelling socks on my bedroom floor that has been there for 10 years. it would mean that the socks are now class as Retro material right? if so Ebay here i come $$$$$$$

it would make them vintage

So thinking about a event that you did not only yesterday but years ago is Retrospect. But having a item that you had 10 years or more is Vintage. Its weird for me, but i think i am starting to understand what you mean

Maybe not to people my age (29) but probably to people in your age group. I just don't feel the 90s is old at all. Maybe I'm the only one on here who feels this way.
And I'm still not saying 10 years, so give it up! It's '89 and before for old ass me.
