Just thinking about this show makes me laugh. Quite possibly one of the most convoluted premises for a television show at the time. Mild mannered janitor/dog, Henry uses a filing cabinet to transform into Hong Kong Phooey, number one super guy (the same way Superman used telephone booths back in the day). Armed only with The Hong Kong Book of Kung-Fu, and a car that shapeshifts at the sound of a gong, and a cat sidekick with no real powers except the only one that Hong Kong Phooey is lacking (common sense), he must fight crime, whilst at the same time keeping his identity a secret from Rosemary the telephone operator and Sarge, a goofy cop.
I would love to see the intro to this show once more.
"when the rough get tough, the tough get goin' with a Hong Kong Phooey Chop, HYAAA!!!"
