I never owned an NES or the original version of the game. But I do remember going over to my babysitter's house and watching her kids play the game constantly. At first, it didn't appeal to me much. (I DO recall owning the Koopa Troopa toy from McDonald's). A few years later, I grew to love that game. We had a choice of NES games to play at my other babysitter's house. I would almost always choose SMB3. One year later, I got "Super Mario All-Stars" for my SNES and loved the game even more! It is without question, THE best Mario game of all time!
I remember my cousin and a NES and Mario 3 on it and when my mother saw the game, she couldnt get over the great graphics, lol. Needless to say I then got a NES and Super Mario 3 and its still one of my favorite games.
