    back when i was a kid i had this robot thing it looked like r.o.b. the nintendo robot but it wasnt. u could put tapes in it chest and it would asked u question and tell storys and it had buttons on the bottom to asked the questions with

    i forgot what is was called

      The only thing I can think of is Alphie the robot. I played with that toy for years. However, Alphie came with cards that you would put in his chest, not tapes. If it isn't Alphie, it's probably something very similar.

          i couldn't remembe having a robot toy at all. but out of curiousity i clicked on that alphie link and me and my sisters definitely had that toy! that's crazy cool. but i don't have many memories with it other than the feel of his arms. i think the batteries ran out a real long time ago and we never bothered to put in new ones. wow. thanks for bringing back the memory!

            We used to have the 8-track version. When I was a little older I saw a tape cassette version, but it didn't look as cool.
