When I was a kid, I wore shoes like, all the time and wouldn't set foot outside the house unless I had some on. It's because there were a lot of stickers in the grass and I didn't want them in my feet. >_<
Around the house I always put on socks, at least. I would wear shoes all the time because I hate putting them on and taking them off, but...a lot of people have started to enforce no-shoe rules. :
My Mum is scared to death of bees, so she used to keep us in shoes all the time to make sure we didn't *step* on one.
I'm such a hobbit, though, now, so I can't help but walk around barefoot.
And... I can't understand how people can sleep while wearing socks. =o
I tried once, and it drove me bloody crazy. Oo'

I was always barefoot at home. But always wore shoes outside. Until about a year ago I couldn't even stand to wear sandals outside (now I only wear flipflops during the summer.)
But I have extremely sensitive feet. I burned the bottoms one time walking across hot concrete. I had to have the EMT put stuff on my feet. Could barely walk after that.

as a kid, i was usually barefoot outside but wore shoes whenever i went somewhere. my feet are so calloused now though since i was always running around our side walk made of gravel and our rocky driveway. i did find it easier to climb a tree with shoes though, so if i knew i was gonna be climbing, i put on tennis shoes.

I always wore shoes outside and wore a semblence of shoes inside. I've never gone barefoot. It just doesn't feel right to me, never has and never will.

I used to get yelled at for going outside with no shoes on. Back when I was younger, it really didn't matter to me. It was too nice out to wear thick socks! Every kid on my block's mother would stick their heads out the door and tell them to "get some shoes on!"...Not that we listened.
I also remember running barefoot races down the block around 11 p.m. or so, lol.

I wore my shoes from the time I woke up in the morning until I went to bed at night. I was probably one of the only kids in America wearing shoes and socks while watching Saturday morning cartoons. I never understood why people like going barefoot. All it does is make your feet all callused and nasty looking, so does wearing flip flops all the time.

I always wore shoes, I hated the feeling of being barefoot. Who wants to step on rocks and hot pavement? My friend always went barefoot, I didn't understand why.
