I remember watching the first ever episode of Beavis and Butthead on Liquid Television. Their names were switched, and their voices were slightly different. They were playing baseball with frogs. I can still remember them shouting: "FROG...BASE-BALL!" At the end I think they decided to play Dog Baseball with a neighbors poodle (sadly, they didn't show that part). That was a really long time ago...
I know you are, but what am I?

Their names were switched? I don't remember that.

One of my all-time favorite cartoon shorts was shown on Liquid Television: The Killing of an Egg. I'd like to find that clip somewhere if I could.

I'm almost 100% positive that their names were switched. I tried to look it up just now, but none of the web sites that mention it are that detailed.

Mtv released Wet Shorts a best of Liquid TV vol. 1&2 on dvd, I know it can be purchased on amazon and probably ebay.
I don't know about you, Miss Kitty, but I feel so much... yummier

I wouldn't know, I've never watched them because I can't rent them anyplace and I wasn't that in love with it to shell out $42.99. If I ever find them for rent I'll let you know

The thing I remember about Aeon Flux was that the main character always died somehow in the early shorts
                      Is this true?

I'm almost 100% that you are wrong. I have all the Beavis and Butthead episodes on VHS including the Liquid Television episodes(the only other tv show I recorded as much was DBZ) and they always have the names the way they were in the end; Beavis=blond, butthead=burnette

before Mtv picked it up for a series i know instead of beavis it was beavus. i don't think butt-heads name was changed unless it was just butthead w/o the hyphen.

and yes kramer, in the liquid television shorts aeon flux died in every episode and also no1 talked in any of the the shorts either

                            I loved Liquid Television!

My absolute favorite was Stick Figure Theater... sigh...

I enjoyed Aeon Flux and Beavis & Butt-head as well when they would show them.

I know I have an episode recorded somewhere on a VHS of Liquid Television, it's just a matter of finding it now.

I must be on a roll tonight!!!

                                  LIQUID was da shiznit.
I mean Aeon Flux did somewhat suck, B&B rulled anyone see the clip where they go to the monster truck rally (1st sight of the headbang) and were attacked by the poo cloud? Crazy daisy Ed reminds me of a coworker named Ed, oh I remember the ep when he Jammed on the 'tar!!! "I SAW THE LANDLORDHADADRILL, ZOOOMA ZOOMA ZOOMA!
AND HE HAD HIMSELF A THRILL, WHEN THEY PASSED THE RUMAH RUMAH RUMAH!! YEHAH! or somthing like that. specialists were good but they go to all that trouble to find a missing dog just for it to return home to his master. man the irony it that! SFT's Naked edge kept me on the edge of my seat. Now if only they'd finish the damn thing! Dog Boy as stupid as it was , it was also entertaining. Invisible hands was rather confusing as was Brad dahrma psycic detective. but the best was JAC MAC AND RADBOY GOOOOOOOO! Aww man I could remember the Dialogue of the clip. but that's annother post and to clear this Running man was creepy as hell I mean when the ghost go flying by and his eyes turn white, just totaly freaked me half to death! it was also part of the short series Neo Tokyo.

OK I'm done for the night.

I never much cared for Aeon Flux. When the movie comes out I probably won't bother watching it til long after it's come out on video.

Stick figure theater was great. Crazy Daizy Ed was perfection!

Unfortunately, these were only a few rare gems in this Spike & Mike wannabe show.

"Winter Steele" sucked however. Wasn't even "animation".

And "Invisible hands" & "Dog Boy" were pure dogsh*t. I can't believe Mtv actually paid real money for crap like that.

IMO, "The Idiot Box" was a MUCH funnier show.

aeon flux that was the best show on liquid television. I never cared too much for the other shows only this one. When I was younger I always thought this was an anime show but come to find out it actually a made in the u.s of the a (salute). Vary good artwork done on aeon flux it made real animes look like stickin' around if you know what that cartoon is.
