I remember growing up with this cartoon. Anyone know where it aired? My guesses are Disney, Nick or some syndie channel.

So my thoughts, I always used to think Mr. Sneer was the same thing as the Great Gonzo because of the similar noses as I didnt know what an Aardvark was back then. Mr. Sneer also had the 3 little pigs as assisstants. They always used to push his car if it broke down.

I also vaguely remember a Chicken and an Alligator, were they here?

And I don't remember these Sheepdogs. What were they about?

It was a Canadian cartoon, so here in Canada, it aired on CBC :)

Some Trivia: The show's closing theme song Run With Us by Lisa Lougheed was a hit on the charts here in Canada

That song was WAY too hardcore for a kids show. Seriously.

I'm listening to the closing song right now, it might have been OK, I haven't made a final ruling on it.

The Raccoons Was a Canadian cartoon show on CBC during the 80's it came after a series of t.v specials that were on the premise is explained in the opening of the show.

The Song "Run With Us" suited the show most excellently.

The song just freakin' ROCKS...you don't expect to hear something like that in a cartoon that isn't, you know, serious. That's like Dennis The Menace having Hero from Nickleback as the theme.

If i remember correctly the Raccoons aired on the Disney Channel, but it started as feature specials and then became a weekly cartoon. There was an alligator named Mr.Knox but I don't remember a chicken. You may want to checkout this link, they have info and all kinds of video and sound clips:

That song kick started Lisa Lougheed's career. In the 90's, she had several popular hits here in Canada :)

If there was an Alligator named Mr. Knox, there had to have been a chicken. I remember the chicken was in love with the alligator.

When I was in Germany in 1991 I got to see a German dub of the show and that was a real treat.

The alligater had a wife named Lady Baden-Baden, but I can't find any pics of her, maybe she was the chicken

I think Mr Knox came when the show jumped the shark. His purpose was he was the evil bussiness man. You see Cyril Sneer actuallty turns good so now you know why Mr Knox was created for the show.

Although I haven't seen the show. I reckon Knox and Sneer had a simillar relationship to Scrooge McDuck and Flintheart Gloomgold. And talking of Scrooge McDuck. Cyril Sneer also had a money bin and could the pigs be based in Huey, Dewey, and Louie?
