That you'd wished you'd never gotten rid of.
Back when I was like 6, my Atari 2600's controller cord broke, and since they didn't sell 2600 controllers anymore at major outlets (it was 1991), my mom sold the system and all the games (like 50 of them). Sure, almost every game on it was crap (Atari seriously did a LOUSY job porting over old arcade games), but it would have been a nice bit of nostalgia to pick up and play every once in a while.

Did you guys ever have something sold back in the day that now would have been worth a lot, monetarily or sentimentally?

Glad you mentioned it, since I was just about to bring up the Computerized Arcade. I don't exactly long to have it again, but seeing that picture brings back some nice memories, and makes me wonder what a game of "Simon," which I only vaguely remember playing, was like (I think one of the CA games was the same thing).

      Hmm...

Maybe some of the old records and comics I used to listen to and read. I either don't know where these are or have ended up giving them away. Not sure which.

As for records -- "Mighty Mouse," "Little Brave Sambo," "Huckleberry Hound and the Fire Department," to name a few.

Comics -- "Little Lotta," "Richie Rich," and other little comedies.

Things like these provided great entertainment, but I actually try not to place as much sentimental value on objects these days.

I got rid of all almost all my toys. Even my Pee-Wee's Playhouse Playset and my full Ghostbuster jumpsuit uniform. I saved several precious items, but the vast majority is long gone.
I know you are, but what am I?

I got ridof some of them such as some transformers, my toy stove which I loved, all my computer systems such as calecovision, nes, snes, n64 etc. I have been buying back some of them such as the nes, but its not the same. Also I got rid of my dolls bassinet, car seat, care bears phone and more.

My poseable Snoopy, My two Koosa dogs, My Pound Puppy, My plastic Pound Puppy knockoff. I still collect dog stuff to this day, it'd be nice to have the things that started it all. Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to save my cherished childhood posessions.

So many of my original toys were either sold at garage sales, given away and even thrown out. I do still have most of my old Star Wars stuff, but I miss my Transformers the most. My whole G1 collection was given to my youngest cousin, who is fortunately still a TF fanatic. They're still in a glass display case.

Several VHS tapes that I really REALLY miss now.

                              The Dark Crystal,
                              The Secret of Nimh,
                              We're Back,
copies of the first Power Rangers episodes,
                              The Princess Bride,
                              Davie and Goliath,
                              Merry Christmas Charlie Brown,
and many other animated movies like: Samson the whale, The white Seal, Rikki Tikki Tavi, Serendipity, Scamper the Penguin, Willy the Sparrow, and Wind in the Willows.

All were sold in a garage sale my parents had when I was off at college...

Man now I miss them even more :( ...

I pretty much still have all of my childhood things. I even still have this hand print I made with some kind of cement back in kindergarden, When we finally moved from the place I grew up most of my life, my mom tossed in it the trash and as I was packing, I remembered it and couldn't find it, yup, almost cried lol but I found it. It's in my room today, reminds me of how small I once was. I even still remember day we made it, that was way back in 1986, wow.

Oh and I still have old HW papers from like 3rd-5th grade, pencil case and everthing I used in it from 1st grade. I have no idea why I kepted this stuff. So I basically gave you the opposite of what you asked for, sorry.

A few years ago I got rid of my Hasbro WWF Action Figures. I've seen the prices for some of them on eBay and I still wish I had them. That's the thing when you are growing up you don't look at thinks being worth something. It has senitmental value but thats it. No dollar value. I also miss the Sega Genesis I got rid of.
