They stopped selling pizza not too long ago. I'm surprised your friend doesn't remember it. Last time I remember it sold here was the late 90s. There was all sorts of crazy promotional stuff when it came out.
I am deranged, but so, so playful!

Hmm, actually where I live (Northern New Jersey) you can still get the McPizza in all its greasy goodness in only one McDonalds thats on the Garden State Parkway. They did get rid of it for a while but its back here now again. You can also get Mozzerella Sticks at one of the other McDonalds in town. I will get a picture of it later tonight when I get the chance.

I doubt it will last very long again. I never see anyone order one.

Also does anyone have pictures of the old Playplace's that McDonalds used to have in the 80s? The one with the Big Mac head jail and other unsafe metal play things??

McDonalds pizza was the best fast food pizza around. The Hawaiian was the best. Here in Calgary they all had pizza for about five years. Unfourtunatly McRib did not last...

I know how old this thread is, but I found a picture that my mom took at a Canucks game in 1993 (My novice team was playing during the intermission, so I was there, too.) that also illustrates my point about McDonald's Pizza being advertised in hockey rinks:

I love how retro this picture is, overall. The Canucks are wearing the skate jerseys and Pavel Bure is in it. Then, there's the guy at the top of the picture wearing a t-shirt for Z95.3, which was the biggest radio station of the 90's in Vancouver. The station was around from 1991-2007. Then it was Crave and now it just changed to Virgin FM.

Pizza / McPizza - McDonald's has also attempted pizza at various times, with an apple-pie-like McPizza and more conventional McDonald's Pizza. A line of personal sized pizzas were first seen in the late 1970s in test-market stores near interstate highways around Milwaukee and Madison. In British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Nova Scotia (c. 1992-1997), the pizza originally began as a family sized pizza that was brought out to the table by an employee and placed on a raised rack in the centre of the table. Later it was scaled down to a personal sized pizza. However, variations have found their way into some international markets such as India (the pie-like "Pizza McPuff";). McDonald's also test marketed a 14-inch, round, traditional-style pizza in Evansville and nearby Owensboro, Kentucky from 1989 to 1991.

I have no memory about McDonald's ever having pizza. What was Ronald McDonald thinking? Or as what the Tourettes Guy would call him... Ronald Mc***damn Donald!

I remember hearing they sold McPizza near the airport although I don't think any of the other McDonald's restaraunts got it.

Don't ever remember McDonalds serving pizza. However, this isn't the first time someone has brought this up. I remember a friend saying something about it long ago...
