Does anyone remember CBS Story Break? I remember little about this show. I remember one story about this planet that people live with dragons. They would train these dragons to fight in a arena. this boy that wanted a dragon of his own. He was like on of the keepers at a dragon stable. He snuck into one of the stables to look a some new baby dragons and noticed that the count on the door said 12 baby dragons . He notices that one of the dragons was behind it's mother and wasn't counted for. So, he steals the dragon and takes it into the wilderness. Somehow, He can talk to the dragon telepathicly.Anyway, he trains the dragon and after a while, he put the dragon into a turnament.anyway this was the best one that i got to see. oh yeah captian Kangaroo was the early host of the show. and that cosby kid became the new host. and another about some mountain lions I think. Oh and one about a cat that was a witch's cat.

Update... The first story was named Dragon's blood and the boy's name was jakkin and the dragon's name was Heart's Blood. Good story. I couldn't find the name of the secend story. The third story was witch cat. also a good story.

CBS storybreak *sigh* the memories, I remember the episode mention above but I do remember one about a brother and sister who's grandma turned out to be either an alien or a robot? they thought she was a little off and then they found out her secret, thats probably the only one I really remember...I think they did one on chocolate fever book too.

The opening sequence to storybreak was sweet.

Question: Was OJ Readmore part of storybreak or something totally different? I just remember the orange calico cat trying to get folks to read, I always put the two together

CBS Storybreak was an awesome show. I can still remember several episodes. How To Eat Fried Worms seemed to come on every other week, and also the episode about the boy who woke up one day as a dinosaur or something.

My favorite episode only came on a few times though, Monster's Ring. It was about a boy who had a ring that when worn would give him powers. But the more he wore it, the more of a monster he became.

I remember that, and one of his teacher's thought it was just a really cool costume of some sort.

                  O. G. Readmore was the host of ABC Weekend Specials.

My favorite CBS Storybreak episodes were "Ratha's Creature", "Dragon's Blood" and "Witch Cat".

I'll give you a run-down after work today, but for now, I'll just say it's based of a book in a series by Clare Bell.
