Agreed, Return of the Jedi is the best! Followed by A New Hope and then Empire Strikes Back and the other three crappy prequels lagging miserably behind.
I don't know about you, Miss Kitty, but I feel so much... yummier

The Empire Strikes Back is to this day my favorite, Return of the Jedi is tied for first. I liked Revenge of the Sith, but thought the ending could have been better, same with the dialouge.

The trouble with prequels is that the good characters get killed off stright away like Jango Fett and General Grevious. Notice Jar Jar doesn't say a word in Revenge of the Sith which is probobly a good thing.

well since were makin lists, here's mine....

                  1 Return of the Jedi
                  2 Empire strikes back
                  3 revenge of the sith
                  4 a new hope
                  5 phantom menace
                  6 attack of the clones

why didnt some one force george lucas to let someone else write the scripts? he can direct all he wants but the dialouge in these last three movies was awful. And if you think jarjar was annouying, he cant hold a candle to episode I annakin. Holy crap jake lloyd is a bad actor.

A New Hope. It's the one that started it all and started my interest in sci-fi.

Empire is probably my favorite, although Jedi is the sentimental favorite since its the only one that I was old enough to see in the theatres.

ESB is my favourite. It's one of the few instances in movie history where the sequel is actually better than the original. What makes that even more amazing is that it was the sequel to the most popular movie of all time (when it was released).

Great story, great directing, great acting, great everything. Darth Vader was Luke's father? There's no bigger twist in pop culture than that, before or since. The way the bad guys won and the movie ended with uncertainty and fear was brilliant, just like the cliffhangers in the old radio serials that George Lucas loved as a boy, and drew inspiration from for Star Wars.

Episode 1 is a dissappointment, Episode 2 I thought sucked, but ep2 and ep3 together makes it good, even if the Second episode is still boring. Episode 3 was good in the action but sucked in its ending and dialogue. A New Hope kind of is a bore, with horrible fight scenes, which before the prequels came out, were good. Empire Strikes Back is just a great stroy and is the most fun, and Return of the Jedi tops it all off as being the best.

But my favorite is Empire Strikes Back, you have to have a favorite, it can't be a 6 way tie with uncertainty about one of them.

Out of all of Star Wars I still think that the Original Theatrical Release version of The Star Wars Trilogy is the best!

I would like to own the Original Theatrical Release versions of Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi on DVD.

I own the Star Wars Trilogy that came out in September of 2004 which is still the Special Edition version of the trilogy.

I went to see all three Star Wars prequils The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones, and Revenge Of The Sith in theaters. They were good.

This Christmas I am getting Star Wars Episode I-III on DVD. And since I own Episodes I and II on VHS, I am going to buy Episode III on VHS and that will be the last movie I'll ever buy for myself on VHS.

I wonder if George Lucas will ever do Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII, and IX? I think he would/could/should do a trilogy of Star Wars that takes place after Return Of The Jedi. If that will happen, I am guessing it will be based on the children of Princess Liea Organa and Han Solo and Luke Skywalker being there Jedi Master.

Me too! Of course, I'll still buy old cartoons and movies on VHS if I see them at flea markets and thrift stores. Star Wars and VHS go hand in hand for me, I missed out on the original theatrical releases, so I became a fan thanks to the neigbourhood video store.

There will be no Episodes 7-9. George Lucas has made this very clear. There's a live-action TV series currently in its very early stages, set between Episodes 3 and 4.

If you want to learn what happens after Return of the Jedi, including Luke's reformation of the Jedi Order, and the Solo's kids, it's all in the Star Wars novels.

There might be a chance for episodes 7-9 in about ten years or so. but right now lucas is redoing the original trilogy in 3-D and working on the live action show. He will probly then do the new trilogy in 3-D as well. Hopefully they will continue the story some day but lets hope lucas doesn't write or direct any of them.
