The thing that scared me the most was probably Stephen King's "Cats Eye" and the last story with that monster that would come out of the wall. I was always afraid to go to sleep after watching that.

Do you remember those bears or other stuffed animals where you'd put a tape in his back and he'd read you a book aloud, his eyes and mouth would move. I had one and it scared the skittles out of me, I would sware I saw it move by itself in the middle of the night.

Which FHE logo scared you? The one with the Alka-Seltzer tablet in space, the one with the handwriting pad, or the one with the paintbrushes?

Cruella DeVil (101 dalmatians) scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

I also remember being slighly nervous whenever I saw a Darkwing Duck episode with Steelbeak in it, perhaps it was the prothesis , or the laughter which (if I recall correctly) was kind of "metallic" as well.

That scene in Sleeping Beauty where Aurora is in her room and Maleficent's eyes appear in the fireplace. Scared the bejeezus out of me. And the sphinx in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
OH! And does anyone remember the Dristain commercial with the talking idols of Easter Island? I was TERRIFIED of that commercial.

I always used to be afraid that hands were going to reach up from under my bed, through my matress and then grab me. I really had no idea why I thought that was going to happen until recently I was watching a Ghost Busters movie on TV and there was one part where the woman sits in an armchair and all these monster hands burst out of the chair's cushions and hold her to the chair. I realized that must have been the origin of my fear because I remember watching those movies when I was a kid.

I keep on remembering stuff! One of the last scenes of Labyrinth, David Bowie is walking around in that Escher painting place, and he’s walking upside down and then he steps to the other side of the stairs and his legs bend is this really weird cartoon-ey way. That was freaky.

I don't know why I was always afraid of dolls. Maybe its the way they resemble dead babies.

I just thought of another one:

The door to door salesman on Pee-Wee's Playhouse. The guy with the gigantic head. I used to have nightmares about that dude all the time. It didn't help that everytime Pee Wee saw him he would scream and slam the door.

The old drug commercials that were aired often during the late 80s and early 90s. Every time I saw one of them on I would change the channel because I hated them so much.
                                        ROSEBUD....

yes, rosebud frozen peas. Full of country goodness and GREEN PEANESS. wait that's terrible, I QUIT!

oh what luck, there's a french fry stuck in my beard.

I think it was the Twilight Zone. Anyway the guy's on an airplane, sees "a kid" on the wing of the plane and its a gremlin or whatever. Definitly scarred me. Couldn't sleep with a window curtain pulled back for years. lol
