i also felt that anything that claimed to "glow in the dark" was scary.
and those creepy eyes in the window in that scene in "the Amityville Horror". YUCK. And some "PEZ" dispensers were awful. yikes. OH! The worst...the stuffed two-headed calf that used to be in a window of a store in Provincetown, MA. Anyone know what I am talking about??

The thing that scared me the most was waking up in the middle of the night. So dark... so quiet...

I used to think there were creatures constantly looking over my bed. And you know when it's extremely quiet but you can still hear a faint, like whistling sound? That added to the fear.

And whenever I used to go to my room to get something I'd always get the feeling something else was in there, so before I left the room I'd taunt whatever was in there by saying "you can't get me" and then run out.

                That Leprechaun from.. Leprechaun.
                Eesh.
                That movie Arachnophobia.
My mom rented it and one day decided to rewind it and watch it myself. I was like five-years-old. I didn't touch lamps for another three years afterward :(
I also hated Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps, even though I always tried to read Goosebumps..
And I love the old Twilight Zone, btw. I recently saw this episode about this town that was 'ruled' by this kid who had the power to just... well, he just sort of did things. Like this dog kept annoying him so I think he made get stuck in the wheat field. He also turned this guy into a jack-in-the-box THAT WAS SO CREEPY. Imagine a lifeless head in a jack-in-the-box. Omg..

Some production logos have scared me. I was also scared when I was young when my mother used to say ''your going to the burger king ladys house'' but I really don't remember if that even scared me.

The movie The Shining scared the bejesus out of me as a kid...that whole "Come play with us, Danny" scene still gives me the heebie jeebies.

Even weirder (and a little off-topic) the song "Magic Man" by Heart used to scare the crap out of me when I was little. My mom used to play that album CONSTANTLY and for some reason the synthesizers just terrified me. I taught myself how to turn off the record player eventually :)

Childs Play freaked me out when I was kid, not really the movie itself but the fact the kids name was Andy and thats my name. Plus I remember having a nightmare about the doll in my house then waking up to my brother watching a Childs Play marathon, and he had a good guy doll too, but I dont think he had it with him at the time. One other thing that tripped me out was the living doll episode of the Twilight Zone when the doll calls and says "My name is Talking Tina and Im going to kill you". Last thing that tripped me out was the midget from Dont Look Now, I was walking through the house to get something and all the lights were out, then I remember seeing something moved and my body shot into defense mode, but of course there was nothing there. The clown from the Are You Afraid of the Dark into disturbed me too, it still kind of does.

If any of you peeps had watched the Unico movies when u were kids then you'd know Lord Kuruku was frightening. he was the bane of my bladder, frequently causing it to drain with his distorting voice and creepy laugh. Can't believe i was scared of a puppet...and a cartoon puppet at that.

What scared me the most, and still scares me today is the Emergency Alert System.
I remember the first time I heard it-when I woke up in the middle of the night, and I saw that green screen and that buzzing noise-oh god I got so scared,I ran into my mom's bed!
Nowadays,I barley see it on TV-and I stay up late sometimes, but I hear it on the radio oftenly.
Can someone explain why this is so?

What also scares me was those clown faces posted. Those scared me soooo much.

As for production logos-there is one that scared the s**t out of me.
It was on Scooby-Doo's Greatest Mysteries-I was looking at some logos-and at the end of the tape-there was a bonus Powerpuff girls cartoon.
At the end-was one of the scariest variants of the Swirling Star logo.
It went on as normal-but it was silent, then towards the end of the logo, the sound came back, and it went down again.
Then when the logo finished, the scariest part came
From the middle of the screen,a cartoon network screen zoomed smoothly up to the screen-and there was a boing sound accomping it.I'll put it up on Youtube soon.
The worldvision home video logo also scared me very much.
The closet killer theme also scared me-but not too much.

My favorite closing logo,is the S from Hell.I just love it.
My other favorite is the Paramount Television mountain logo.
I also like the V of Doom-it's not scary at all to me.

Another thing that made me jump is that when I went to the Movies to watch Surf's Up,there was a trailer about this super dog.
What scared me was that at the end, there was a panning shot of a building for like 1-3 seconds, then out of nowhere-the dog zooms up to the screen very fast.

Those are the things that scares me.
