Aww, how come? Mom would always sleep in my bed with me because I had horrible nightmares when I was little (I'm a girl). But I never really slept in my parents' bed with both parents...

These days I'm mostly just afraid of flying insects. Brrr.

yeah, it was never a big deal to hop in bed with my parents, especially if i had a nightmare. my dad was a night-farter tho, so that usually led to an even more scarier reality.

i'm afraid of bugs, too. yeech. :( and spiders.

To answer the questions--children are more likely to develop good sleep habits if left alone. That's one reason. The other is probably me because I am one of these people who would never sleep with anyone else in the same bed. Even if I get married expect the bedroom to look like the one from I Love Lucy where the beds are apart.

just an FYI (only because i've recently looked into this subject)- there's been a lot of research done on babies/children sharing a bed with their parents. this is a good link: http://www.nd.edu/~jmckenn1/lab/index.html but obviously it's not for everyone.

The EBS scared me. That high pitched tone scared the shit out of me. Every time I saw they were gonna give one of those EBS tests I would run out of the room. Nowadays it's the EAS, and I'm not really too fond of the EAS tone either, but I think EBS was scarier.

I don't know how many people remember "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" but the opening of that show used to scare the crap out of me. The music was creepy to me and there would always be an outline of him in which his shadow profile would walk into it. I would always cover my ears and close my eyes when it came on.

I was raised not to be scared of anything!! But, hell, I'm human I gotta be scared of somethin. But I recall as a child that I was scared of two things:

Chuckie, the people killin bastard: i caught my mom watchin was one his movies and once his face flashed on the screen, i took off runnin'

Anyone been to Home Depot and seen those small lifters and annoying beepin sound? Yup, that freaked me out too, I used to wander off trying to get away from that thing... even if it wasnt on! :o
                                  Oh and I was/am afraid of spiders:eek:
This message will now self destruct...
