Ok, this toon was a sci-fi toon. I believe the title had the word "Captain" in it. One of the enemy ships looked like large crab. During portions of the show in the space battle scene, a small top of a human head in the bottom right cornor of the screen would flash "3, 2, 1" and then the head would look up and some glasses would fly on the head signaling that it was time to put on your 3D glasses for the space battle, which was infact 3D.

That is all I remember, but the show may have been a sci-fi Captain Nemo-style show, but I don't know. Can anyone help me out or can remember this show? Thanks in advance!!! :D

Were the characters all apes? There was a Fox kids show from the time frame you mention called Captain Simian. Otherwise I think there was also a sci-fi show also on Fox kids during that time called Red Planet where the whole thing took place on Mars. I hope either of those suggestions help you.

Sorry no. Everyone was human or semi-human. Remember, the space battles were in 3D where you get a warning with a 3D head/countdown. I checked out the episode guides online but nothing is ringing a bell. I would really like to see this show again with 3D glasses this time!

You've officially stumped me. I've searched for "3-D" stuff and programs with "Captain" in the title, and I'm coming up empty. I'm guessing, if it aired on FOX, it may have been a mini-series, rather than a weekly/daily show (just a presumption). Fox did do a couple of week-long daytime cartoon miniseries back then (one about Sigfried and Roy instantly jumps to mind). I don't know of any regular TV series that had 3-D segments in each episode... but since I'm coming up blank, I may be mistaken.

I remember the show being on for like 1 season each week on Sunday mornings. I still distinctly remember the floating head in the bottom right cornor which is pretty distinct. I was probably about 6/7 years old (1993-1994) or perhaps a tad older when it aired. Thanks to anyone who can help me locate this show!

I think I know the show, but I need to clear up Hordak's confusion first. Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys was on "The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera".

As for your show, "Captain" was never part of the title. Look up Battletech on either TV.com ot imdb.com.

Edit: This might help as well.

Sorry, that wasn't the show. Remember, the space battle scenes were in 3D. Thanks anyway!

with the same gimmick of 3-D cartoon segments

I've never heard of this one but then I didn't watch Fox much in the 90's.

Space Strikers may have been on your local Fox affiliate; but nonetheless, it was not a part of the Fox Kids lineup, which is why some people don't remember it.

Space Strikers! I was looking for it too. In Mexico we did not had the 3D effect with glasses, but the spaceship battles were in three-dimensional graphic animation. I remembered Nemo and Nautilus, also the gun that moved 360° in the battles. Also that the main villain used to be Nemo's friend.
