I'm not exactly sure if this should be posted here, so if this is in the wrong forum, I apologize.
One of the more . . . . . stranger things I collect (next to the Monkees memorobilia) is old TV commercials, mostly geared towards kids, most of which geared towards girls (because I happen to be a girl). Most of my commercials come from various places. Mostly my childhood Betas and VHS, and then some. I lived all of my life in the DC area, so I know the call letters and TV stations by heart. However, a lot of commercials I have found are not from the DC area. I have some from New York, a couple from Detroit, and some from Chicago (strangely enough, very few from Maryland!)
One of the things on one of my tapes is a little "blurb" I guess from a Strawberry Shortcake cartoon (I have the bumpers from it, too). It's white text on a black background, stating "The Wonderful World of Strawberry Shortcake" (why do they throw that "wonderful" in there? It's not part of the title!). In the corner of the screen, there is the number 29 and the words "Get to Know Us." That is definitely NOT the DC market's channel 29. In my area, channel 29 is the cable channel for our CBS affiliate. I have no idea which market this was. Does anyone here know?
