    		 Hey, I barely had my first memories when I started watching Power Rangers, and this has been bothering meL how many and what colors were there? I know there were like blue and red and pink and green, and then they added some, I just can't remember

              Lol, I found a lot of good commercials like that last night. Got a few more coming. Found a few for stuff we were just talking about.... Dinosaurs, Dunkaroos, Goosebumps.... :)

                  		 The Power Rangers were cool when I was younger
                  however, it began to get a bit pathetic when there was 12 different versions on TV....

                    My Little Sister have the Power Ranger Underwear and my little Brother too They Like Power Ranger I little like The Power Ranger I stop Watch it after they move on to Power Ranger Zero.

                      		 Now this is one show that won't go away. now about your list Jesus_crysus, I don't think there was a silver ranger (not in the ones I watched anyway) there was a gold ranger who was Jason the original red ranger. The first power ranger film was OK I thought despite being in IMDB bottom 100 but Power ranger Turbo film was rubbish. That annoying blue ranger kid was annoying. I've heard in the newer power Ranger series which was out recently Tommy (original green ranger) is back and he is one of the new power rangers.

                        it was a dope show when i was small and its still on today, but now it just sucks.

                        i also stopped watching after the movie with the lil kid blue ranger.

                            Actually, I just saw a couple episodes of SPD this morning, and I have to say I liked it.
                            (of course, all of them were better in the original japanese versions, like when the Pink Ranger actually shot ARROWS out of her bow, which would stick into the putties, instead of just bolts of light...)

                            The characters were still flat as ever, the zords still suck worse than anything, but it has one thing that I really like. Ric, the robot dog. Saw what must have been a relatively early episode where he was malfunctioning pretty badly (making any noises EXCEPT dog sounds, like mooing or bah'ing), shortcircuiting, etc. Pink Ranger was ready to junk him as being an oudated toaster until Ric jumped in front of a blast from the badguy to save her, and got himself fried in the process. They rebuilt him better than he was before, and he proceeded to kick major ass.

                            But I've always had a soft spot for the doggies. If you shoot the dog, I am going to go medieval on your ass. *sniff*See, I'm getting all sniffly just thinking about them shooting the poor robot doggie, and him powering down...*sniff*

                            But other than that, the special effects seem to have actually evolved some, as their power kicks and the like now actually have shockwaves that get sent out from the impact.

                            I still miss the original megazord, Titanus, even the second generation of megazords where the Red Ranger's zord was the chinese dragon...

                            Oh, and just for the record, yes, there was a Silver Ranger. He just wasn't in the originals. He was in one of the countless sequal shows. Lightspeed Rescue I think, or one of those.

                                		 I liked the movie. I went to see it in theaters even though I was a was in middle school at the time. Everyone else was just too mature for Power Rangers. :roll:

                                  		 I was shocked to find out how different the jap's verion of power rangers are compared to the US ones. Like when the rangers got their new zords and tommy became the White Ranger. Come to find out that both the zords and the white ranger was from a tottaly different show.

                                    		 OK, I was so HUGE into Power Rangers, I was so tied up with the Blue and Black being my favorite, but now that you look back on it, the Pink ranger, played by Amy Jo Johnson was sort of hot. MEOW!!!

                                        		 Sadly I'm 17 and refuse to throw out anything I had when I was younger :P I have a human size Blue Power Ranger in the corner of my room lol. Seems as if thats the first thing people notice when they first walk in my room.

The only thing recognizable about it now is the overall concept of two organized groups fighting with the fate of the world at stake every now and then while teenagers in costumes represent one side and stupid-looking-yet-dangerous beings represent the other. The Power Rangers arrive, the "putties" or whatever they're using these days get the crap kicked out of them, the stupid-looking baddie gets the upper hand, the ones who sent it look on and gloat about how they're finally going to win this time, and then -- possibly with some help from their comrades back at the base -- the Power Rangers come up with something and save the day once again, while whatever personal issue one of them was going through gets neatly wrapped up afterwards. Rinse, repeat.

                                          Throughout the years, I don't really understand how this formula could've endured long enough to keep the show on the air for this amount of time, but I guess it's sort of like the great Sesame Street in this regard: as one audience matures and moves on, a new one arrives to take its place.

                                          Still, if it's not done by now, I doubt there's much life left in the Power Rangers franchise. Again, it was indeed pretty good at the start.
