Sure we've all got our thrift shops, flea markets, and garage sales, but are there any stores you frequent that cater specifically to retro lovers?
My favourite of these kinds of stores would have to be Retro Fun in Toronto's Yorkville. It's a tiny store packed with all sorts of retro junk, from Star Wars lunchboxes, to foreign Pez dispensers, to trading cards, to Cadbury candy bars from Zaire. There's so much you could literally spend hours in there looking for nostalgic treasures. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cool. I highly recommend visiting if anyone outside Toronto visits in the near future.

Every June and November, there's a Comic Book and Antique Toy Show that comes to the Greensboro Coliseum. I'll visit occasionally. The prices are pretty high though.

My local antique store, called Annie's Old and New Treasures. I got a Super Mario Bros. 3 Watch and a Donkey Kong Game & Watch there for only $1 each. Not any other places good places(My goodwill has NOTHING) after my local St. Vincent De Paul store closed.

vegas has a couple good antique stores, and a toy ship called toys of yesteryear which is cool.

                Invader Zim
                AC/DC stuff

We have a store in Old Sacramento called Evangelines. They have the neatest stuff. And the month before Halloween, the top 2 floors sell costumes. I went to one of those exotic ball things, and found the best costume. It was fun, I was blown away at some of the things people wore, or did not wear.

Naw, by now-tro, I mean new stuff based on retro stuff. Hot Topic doesn't actually carry retro stuff from 20-30 years ago.
