It's not so much the fact that it's geared more towards kids, it's the people who hate Nintendo for that reason... As if violence and sex make a game better.
As for graphics... I'd play the older versions of Final Fantasy over the shit they produce now. Some video games now are like beautiful women- all eye candy and no substance.
