Curious, what do you find difficult about it?

Midtown Madness 3 is about the only good modern game out there. It's basically a driving simulator where you drive through Washington DC and Paris. There's hardly any violence. And it's X-Box.

Nintendo has guidelines so that anything released on their systems must meet standards with regards to not containing sexual or overtly violent content.

So yeah, I think that makes it a kiddy system.
No, they don't. That was in the NES era and the early part of the 16-bit years. They abolished this as soon as the ESRB ratings were established (sometime between Mortal Kombat 1 and 2). Now pretty much anything goes and it's been that way for at least a decade.

Pong has very primative graphics, yet it's better than the games of today.

To me, unless the game controls are good and the storyline is on the same level as a good book, the graphics don't mean shit.

Graphics isn't everything to me. Just as long as the game looks decent enough. What i like most is the gameplay and longevity (spelling?). If a game has the best graphics sub par gameplay and a average story then it probley isn't worth my time.

Likewise, if it has the best graphics, the best story, AND the best music, but mediocre gameplay, it isn't worth my time either. All those other elements are there to enhance the gameplay, not substitute for it. A turd us a turd no matter how much you polish it.

Ditto: you can't make a game out of turd. Well, okay; you can, but it's still a turd in heart. Pretty outside, ugly inside, and all that...

IMO, the problem is that many developers are overly-ambitious when it come to graphics. I would be happy to have just neat, detailed 2D-graphics that don't require the latest hardware to work and many of the best games are 2D. On the other hand, 3D-fraggers do demand the latest shine on their virtual-boobs just so they can continue fragging prettily. Who cares if it isn't fun? :?

I don't really care if the game has bad graphics as long as it has good gameplay, but I really don't like crapy 3D graphics, I like 2D graphics better than bad 3D graphics.

What exactly do you mean by 4-D?

first of all 2-D means length and width, 3-D means length, width, and depth, 4-D means length, width, depth, and time and 5-D means length, width, depth, time and space

Uh, lenght, width, and depth (and arguably time) are aspects of space. Space is what you get if you put those dimensions together. How is space its own dimension?

Also, none of this really answered my question. I haven't played The Sims, so how is it that the graphics are "4-D". How does it show time in the graphics any differently from other games?
