Nintendo has guidelines so that anything released on their systems must meet standards with regards to not containing sexual or overtly violent content. So yeah, I think that makes it a kiddy system.

mr.funky 8 years 3 months ago Posts: 1620	graphics to me depend on what type of game it is, mostly First Person Shooters and survival/horror... mostly gameplay, story, and replay value is what amazes me the most! I think some people consider nintendo kiddie is because some(not all) of the gamecube games seem easy and they don't have much of a M-Rated library, as for the Teen-Rated most of those games are violence with little or no blood & gore and doesn't appeal too much to the crowd with the blow sht up* factor...but thats just me and btw, Nintendo did have one game with lots of sexual content in it... BMX XXX, the game sucked but it had crude humor and some nudity...

Roadgeek 8 years 3 months ago Posts: 1021	I have an X-Box, Playstation 2, and a Game Cube which I hardly ever use. They're mainly just collecting dust. It's just hard nowadays to find a decent game. I'm glad I still have my Nintendo 64.

It's not so much the fact that it's geared more towards kids, it's the people who hate Nintendo for that reason... As if violence and sex make a game better. As for graphics... I'd play the older versions of Final Fantasy over the shit they produce now. Some video games now are like beautiful women- all eye candy and no substance.

mr.funky 8 years 3 months ago Posts: 1620	I think some people loved the NES and SNES... and then some people didn't like the 64 which led them to think the gamecube sucked or they had a 64, but didn't like the gamecube, or maybe they didn't like both...and now Wii is out and with a totally new idea which is amazing so now those people are coming back!!!

I have Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and it's pretty cool, but it's hard to use. I usually use Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.
