Didn't remember this commercial from "back in the day", but of course both the car (a special option package for the GTO) and the band (Paul Revere and the Raiders) are very familiar. Wasn't aware that Paul Revere had done a Pontiac ad, they'd recorded one side of a 45-rpm record for Chevrolet previously ("SS396", with the other side "Camaro", by The Cyrkle).
