This commercial has great animation. I've beaten this game hundreds of time and my secret is skills and easy mode.

Those 6 golden Coins were very hard to get because to get one you need to beat a boss. You lose all your coins when you get game over. That means you have to kill all of the six bosses and not get a game over or you will have to get them all over again. That makes the game very difficult to get to Wario.

Imagine if you took all the scenes where Wario's head's floating in the spiral background, put them on movie maker, slowed them down drastically then put the final result on the airwaves by hijacking all of the major TV staions. THAT would be creepy yet funny too.

    "Obey Wario, DESTROY MARIO!!!"

Now that I've seen this commercial again, I just LOVE it! One of the best Nintendo commercials ever.

I definitely remember this commercial. This sites so great for nostalgia.

MegaCatZero, if I remember correctly they somewhat described Wario's origin in the game manual. It was one of those change/making-up-history-for-Mario-things. Evidently Wario and Mario had been friends as kids but Wario was always jealous of him. So one day he decided to take over Mario Land (now where and when Mario got his own land is beyond me.)

I've played this game a couple of times. It wasn't that good but it is the first game that had Wario in it.

I never played it, but it looks cool. just a question, where did wario came from? Why he looks like mario, but more fat and yellow?

I totally forgot about that game, but I was real good at it.

It feels weird now seeing a commercial in colour for a game that is in black and white (or whatever shade of green that is).

I like this Wario commercial. My friend Darrick Alvarez,
who comes to my house over the weekends, is a fan of Wario. He liked this commercial more than I did. But, it's
funny and one of the best nintendo commercials.

    Wario's debut was this game.

I saw it on TV as well rember asking myself who the hell Warios was anyway. This one was way better than the first Super Mario World.

They don't make game commercials of this quality anymore! Hell, even modern cartoons don't look like this. It really was a golden age. Oh, and this game was fantastic!

TRIPPY COMMERCIAL! I remember this from way, waaaaay back! (Probably from '92) I got a Game Boy and the game, "Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins", which was one of my favorite games of all time! (though I'd mostly play it using Super Game Boy for my SNES) I instantly became HOOKED!! Additionally, it was so much better than the original, "Super Mario Land", which only consisted of four very short worlds! It's just a shame that they didn't re-release this iin color (as they did with other classic games such as, "The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening" and "Super Wario Land II") Still, it IS a very fun game on its own!
