Malt-O-Meal (1990)

My mom got malt-o-meal cereal once in a while and it did not taste like the real thing at all. It made me glad that most of the time my cereal was out a box. It made me feel bad for the kids who had to eat it all the time.

This cereal did not taste as good as the ones they were trying to copy. However, the sugar smacks did taste the same. My dad was a cheapskate.

Oh! A dollar less! WHO GIVES A CRAP!

Anyways, I remember this ad but thankfully, I never had the misfortune to try those.

I used to turn my nose up at this stuff, but a decade, your own bills, student loans, and a mortgage can help change your mind.

I remember this commercial! But we never bought that crap.

Everytime I got those the cereal pieces would be all clumped together. They'd have excess burnt sugar on the clumps, too. It was gross!

I remember this ad, but I rarely got the Malt-O-Meal as a kid, I usually got the real deal.

We used to buy these when times were rough- no joke. We still buy the shredded wheat Malt-O-Meal because it's the only brand that sells it in bulk, and my family inhales it.

LOL I can remember walking like that down EVERY SINGLE cereal aisle just to embarrass my dad. He would get all mad and push the cart faster. :-D

A dollar less? Who cares! I bet the cereal tastes like crap, though.
