Captain Ds does still exsist.....and its waaay better than LJS.....theres one about 15 miles from my house.....they kinda have been disappearing over the years
^^@ krantzbucks: I live right outside of Charlotte, NC, and there's a Captain D's about 20 minutes from my house. I've never eaten there, but all my co-workers love it.
And in regards to the commercial, the LJS where I grew up [outside of Pittsburgh] had retained that EXACT same exterior design until I was 15 or 16 [I'm now 23]. Really. It was neat!
You don't hear much from the Long John Silver's franchise anymore. I remember when I was growing up in Southwest Florida, there was a restaurant called "Captain D's" which sort of played Burger King to LJS' McDonalds.
