premble (1970)

I helped my Freshman daughter study this very subject for her Social Studies final two days ago. This would be a great way for her to learn. After all, we teach the ABC's to song!

OMG! i think every kid should watch school house rock!

These clips were so informative when I was kid in the 70's. When the gal sings with that great voice 'We the people...' I start choking up. It gave me such an ingrained love of country.

Whoever uploaded this, its "Preamble" not "Premble" lol. I got a good laugh out of that small spelling mistake actually. They should fix it if possible.

This is what made me memorize the Preamble actually. Great School House Rock song.

I remember this, I once had an old VHS tape of SHR, but I (stupidly) threw it away.

OMG! That woman is abducting that little girl at the voting booth!

But seriously, I laughed when I saw this. Because I've seen this video at least 15 times. Literally. Our history class had to memorize the preamble of the constitution. We watched this video at least once every time we had class for three weeks last October and November. I pretty much had, and still do have the song memorized. I also got an A+ on the quiz.

Also to make it funny, we had the old VHS tapes and our teacher never messed around with the tracking. As you could imagine, the video made the woman have funny low and high voices. It was pretty funny.

All of these used to be on Youtube, but they were all banned away.

Schoolhouse rock was a in-between segments on saturday mornings like in the news, one to grow on, and whats on your plate.

This brings back my childhood.

I may have to get the dvd.
